2019 marks my 19th year working as a digital learning/instructional technology specialist. Prior to that I taught middle school for 7 years. I spent 18 years in Seattle Schools (53,000 students) and recently moved to Shoreline where we serve just over 9,000 students. For the past 5 years, I've been working with colleagues and teacher leaders to explore models of blended learning in the classroom and for professional development. In Seattle we mainly used Microsoft tools and now I'm deepening my Google/Chrome skills with the shift to Shoreline. One of my favorite aspects of this career is the opportunity to be learning every day. My 2006 dissertation title often comes to mind - "Learning to Lead What You Don't Yet Know."
